Ghosts of Gone Birds

This is my piece I created for the Ghosts of Gone Birds project.
'Black Mamo'
10x14 inches
Acrylic on Canvas
The project has been created and organisted by Ceri Levy, and here's what he has to say about it:
'We’ll be creating a series of Ghost Spaces up and down the country to house our creative collection of Gone Birds. We’ve now got over 80 artists, writers and musicians contributing work to the project. Each one of them has adopted an extinct species and breathed life back into it thru their creative talents'

The first exhibition kicks off in Liverpool School of Art & Design with another following in London later on.
For more information and updates please check out the Ghosts of Gone Birds Facebook page.

DandAD New Blood Awards

I've got back from London after attending DandAD New Blood, and I've managed to win a Best in Show award!
My 'Fight' series of paintings are what got the award, I'm really happy with the result.
For those who don't know about the project, it was based in and outside of the wrestling ring. Tough characters in the ring act very differently outside of the ring. I also created a few pieces illustrating my characters struggling with everyday tasks and 'fighting' with everyday life.

The Soup Gallery
I've had my first real show with a few friends at The Soup Gallery, Truro, and it was great fun.
I'd post more pictures, but I have a lot. You can probably see what other people submitted on their blogs and sites, I dont know.
also check out www.thesoupgallery.co.uk It's a great shop, and it does great things for local artists.
